Once a year, you should take your pet in for a wellness checkup. This will include a full physical exam. The doctor and nurse will then discuss what vaccinations, de-wormers, blood tests and diet recommendations your pet may need. Older pets are encouraged to be seen by a veterinarian bi-annually as their health can change more rapidly. Our doctors will check the health of your pet from head to tail, and you will be very happy you came to Red Hill Animal Health Center for veterinary care.
Bring in any medical history you have of your pet when you come to our hospital, including their vaccination history and any current prescriptions they have. It's best to keep a journal of your pet's health throughout his or her life, including behavioral shifts. If you have something like this, share it with our team. At Red Hill, we recognize that you know your pet on a day to day basis, so any information you have is helpful.
In some circumstances, our doctors may refer you to a specialist who has advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine, surgery, ophthalmology and neurology.
